Taiwan: Land of Discovery

Hayley Sparkes heads to Asia to explore the beautiful land of Taiwan. There she discovers ancient material dying techniques, a mountain of salt, delicious food and so, so many lanterns.

Hayley Sparkes continues her Taiwan adventure, with more amazing discoveries. She learns how to go oyster fishing with her feet, and visits one of the most spectacular lantern festivals in the world.

Hayley Sparkes has a relaxing morning at the Confucius Temple, before heading to the mountains to have tea with the indigenous tribes. The day ends in a magnificent cherry blossom orchard.

After climbing a mountain before sunrise, Hayley Sparks takes a boat ride across the mysterious Sun Moon Lake, and delves deeper into a land of mountains, canyons and a rickety suspension bridges.

After surviving her most challenging trek into tribal lands, Hayley travels north to explore the region around the capital Taipei, including a gold mine and the world's second tallest tower.
