Bobby is waterboy for a football team but he gets fired. On joining the team at a rival college, the has-been coach sees he is a talented player, however his overbearing mother does not approve. As he leads his team to victory they're asked to play against his old team and Bobby must choose between his ailing mum and footballing glory.
