With the new year around the corner and Tyrell joining Nightcap radio show, Keith, Rochelle, and Cordell make adjustments. Keith and Rochelle make resolutions that will take their relationship to the next level. Cordell meets someone. Chanel and Malcolm reunite after meeting each other at Chanel's poetry party.

Keith asks Rochelle's mother Diane for Rochelle's hand in marriage. Chanel and Malcolm have a date. Tyrell gets into a bind and enlists Michelle's help. Cordell struggles with chemotherapy. Keith and Tyrell come to a head about Rochelle. Chanel confronts Rochelle about Keith. One of Atlanta's most popular podcasts, Black, Educated and Broke makes a special appearance on Nightcap.

Tyrell's past catches up with him. Rochelle's brother Robby comes home from the military. Malcolm nurses Chanel back to health. Michelle is concerned about Tyrell's gambling debts.

Keith and Rochelle experience a major loss and Cordell and Tyrell along with their family help them in their time of grief. Tyrell succumbs to the consequences of failing to repay his debts to Sincere.

After losing the baby, Rochelle tries to hold it together while Keith begins to unravel, causing Cameron and Blair to become concerned. Chanel reaches out to Rochelle to console her. Cordell doesn't hear from Chaz for a month. Chanel and Malcolm discuss becoming official. Tyrell is kidnapped. Jay takes a shot at Nightcap in a blog interview which causes their show to lose ratings.

Cordell finally hears from Chaz who gives him deep news. Chanel's ex-boyfriend Carl pays her a visit. Rochelle confronts Keith about his drinking problem. Tyrell faces Sincere about his debts. Jay makes a guest appearance on Nightcap and exposes Keith, Rochelle, and Cordell's dirty laundry on the air.

Rochelle leaves Keith. Keith's father comes home from prison and attempts to give Keith an alcohol intervention with the help of Cameron and Blair. Michelle pays Tyrell's debts by enlisting his ex-wife's help. Robby approaches Keith in Rochelle's defense. Chanel makes a spontaneous decision with Carl.

Malcolm is ready to commit and gives Chanel an ultimatum. Keith talks to Rochelle's mother Diane about getting Rochelle back. Nightcap has an interview with Talk To Me blog about their show and personal drama. Keith embarks on the path to recovery. Cordell comforts Rochelle during her time away from Keith.
