Nagisa Aoi transfers to St. Miator Girl's Academy and gets acquainted with the school and fellow studentsincluding Tamao Suzumiher friendly (if somewhat overbearing) roommateMiyuki Rokujouthe Miator Student Council Presidentand Shizuma Hanazonothe ...toilewhom Nagisa finds beautiful and intriguing but also frustrating and perplexing due to her forwardness in her advances.

Tamao invites Nagisa to the Literature Club to introduce her to the school's clubs and organizations. Nagisa and Shizuma experience a few more chance encounterswith Shizuma flirting and attempting to kiss Nagisa. When Nagisa finds Shizuma with a young studentshe retreats to the libraryconfused and puzzled.

Nagisa is shown around the Strawberry Dorms by Tamaoand is surprised by Shizuma's advances again and again. She also finds herself unable to move whenever Shizuma gazes at her. Nagisa discovers that the Student Council feels that Shizuma is shirking her responsibilitiesand resolves to remedy the situation. After much searchingshe finds Shizuma and convinces her to step up.��

Hikari recounts the first time she saw Amane riding her horsethinking she was like an angel. While thinking of Amaneshe accidentally misses a cue in the choir presentation for her and is embarrassed in front of the student assembly. As she ponders leaving the choirAmane convinces her to stay.

The circle of friendship is broadenedas select first-years attending Miator become room-cleaners/maids for the older students. One such studentChiyobecomes the room-temp for Nagisa and Tamao.

Nagisa tries to find a club she would like to joinbut she's not interested in any of them. Latershe discovers the ...toile's private greenhouse and helps out with the flowers and their delivery to the school events.

As Hikari and Amane's relationship progressesShion tries to convince Amane to run for the position of ...toile in the next election. Howeverunknown to ShionKaname and Momomi are nursing a different plan involving Hikari.

Nagisa offers her favorite umbrella to Kagome but does not give her name. LaterKagome gets help from Chikaru and her friendsand they start to try and find out who the anonymous gifter is. MeanwhileTamao tries desperately to fulfill her fantasy of walking under an umbrella together with Nagisa.

The "Seven Mysteries" of the Strawberry Dorms are mentioned. Nagisa and Tamao start to investigate the first mystery"The Girl of the Hallway," despite Nagisa's terrible fear of the supernatural.

Pressure is underway as the students prepare for mid-year exams. Nagisa gets help in her French studies by Shizuma. Mais oui!

Nagisa and most of her friends enjoy a short trip to the beach during "summer school." While therethe girls find their own ways of having fun with each otherand they even get to participate in a test of courage later on. MeanwhileNagisa is just starting to discover just how much she misses Shizuma.��

The month-long summer break has startedand most of the students residing in the Strawberry Dorms are going home. This leaves NagisaShizuma and a few others left behind. Without the interference of other studentsShizuma makes her move on Nagisa.��

Hikari finally gets a chance to be on a "date" with Amane. HoweverKaname and Momomi again try to tear apart the new bond between them for the sake of Spica's bid at the ...toile position. In the midst of all thisYaya's feelings for Hikari grow even strongerand she eventually vents them by suddenly kissing a shocked Hikari.��

Yaya's incident with Hikari causes her to fear that she has lost Hikari forever. An effort by Nagisa and Tamao allows them a reconciliation--and another chance at being best friends forever.��

The students are excited as the get ready to stage two plays in the Drama Festival. The main playCarmenis the focus of everyone's attention as everyone awaits the announcement of who is to be cast in the lead roles. The second play will be Romeo and Julietprompting a furious competition among the second-years for the role of Romeo.

While everyone is still preparing for the Festivalthere seems to be some internal struggling concerning Kaname and Momomi with the others. Laterafter suffering two show-stopping eventsall the students involved with the play band together and put on a show the other students will never forget.

While all three schools eagerly await the election of a new ...toile coupleNagisa learns the truth behind this tradition and receives an unexpected invitation from Shizuma in order to find out more information about Shizuma's late partner-the deceased ...toile.

During a rainy night in Shizuma's villaNagisa finally learns about Kaori Sakuragithe ...toile that died. Howevershe also makes a painful discovery of exactly how close the two ...toile wereand how their shared past is still far from being a mere memory.

Miyuki recounts for Nagisa the events of the past few yearsfilling in details of the relationship between Shizuma and the now-deceased Kaoriwhom they have both grieved forover the past three years. As she tells her storyshe discusses the impact that Kaori's passing has had on the two of themand reflectsas wellon the effect that Nagisa's arrival has also had on them.

Nagisa falls into a state of depression and wonders if coming to Miator was a good ideawhich prompts Tamao to recount just why Nagisa is so important to her. MeanwhileNagisa's first- and second-year friendsconcerned over her mooddecide to band together to cheer her up. The episode ends with Tamao talking to a sleeping Nagisaand confessing her love. ��

A final message from Kaori forces Shizuma to reconsider her life's choicesas well as her behavior towards other people.

During a tennis matchKaname admits that she both hates and loves Amanebecause of her inability to ever surpass her at anything. Kaname's loverMomomioverhears this and after the match they break up. Amane becomes persuaded to join the ...toile electionwith Hikari as her partner.

To counter Amane's plans of attending the ...toile electionMiyuki makes Tamao and Nagisa an offer not to be refused: enter the game together and repeat Miator's victorious history. Both Nagisa and Shizuma end up in an internal conflict as to how they truly feel. Tragedy strikes when Amane falls off her horse just as she is about to tell Hikari about her feelings.��

Amane awakens after her accidentbut has suffered partial memory loss-and among the lost memories is her relationship with Hikariwhich leaves Hikari heartbroken. In the meantimeNagisa and Tamao enter training for the ...toile election and get an unexpected tutor: Shizuma.��
