George and Martha

Flushed with her success dancing the role of "The Happy Butterfly" at a ballet recital, Martha tries to get George to share her enthusiasm for the dance.

Martha's nosy neighbor, Penny the flamingo, just can't keep her big beak out of everyone else's business. Her constant snooping becomes so annoying that George and Martha set a trap to teach her a lesson.

George boasts that he's an unflappable fan of horror films. Martha says she's terrified of them. All Martha wants is for George to stop reading and do something exciting with her. The standoff turns into a real test of nerves--and their friendship.

When Martha starts taking French lessons from that suave leopard about-town Pierre La Derriere, George goes into a fit of jealousy. He schemes to impress Martha with his savoir faire and je ne sais quoi; From the moment George scares the daylights out of Martha by sneaking up behind her and yelling.

Martha falls under the spell of Dolly Llama, a beauty guru who raises narcissism to an art form. At the end of the day, though, they realize that there's no more precious gift than their friendship.

Martha wants to go on a picnic in the park, but George would rather stay in bed. So Martha takes the sleeping George, bed and all, on a wild ride through Happy Palms that climaxes with their appearance as unexpected guests at an al fresco wedding .

When George invites Martha to come with him on a sea cruise, she envisions all the comforts of a luxury yacht. When his troupe gets out of hand and infests all of their friends, it's up to George to discover a remedy.

George and Martha engage in an escalating series of challenges to see who's the bravest. But the game turns serious when George finds himself going head to head with the national champion of icky story telling.

Martha joins the Happy Palms Garden Club, not realizing that her humble garden will be judged in the club's annual competition. When Martha makes more of her famous split pea soup than George can eat, he tries to kill two birds with one stone by pouring the excess on his new shoes.

When Oscar and Wilde go away overnight, they ask George and Martha to take care of their darling dog Baby Doll. It's not long before visions of Hollywood stardom are filling his swelled head; but would he desert his best friend for the lure of Tinsletown?

After a successful Amateur Night appearance at the local comedy club, George is convinced he's a natural born comedian. It's only when they try to figure out how to share their prize fairly that they run out of luck.

A simple failure to communicate escalates into a major war of snub and counter-snub when Martha comes to believe that George is ignoring her, and vise versa. Martha is hurt and annoyed at being excluded until she learns the real reason she wasn't asked to join.

Martha takes up hypnotism and manages to convince George that he's a goose. When dieting and exercise fail to curb his cravings, Martha decides that drastic measures are called for.

When George catches cold Martha gives her all to nurse her best friend back to health. But George enjoys the sick role so much that he keeps playing it long after his symptoms are gone. And by the time Martha catches on she's caught the cold herself.

George volunteers to read stories to the local schoolchildren and learns that he will have to read in front of his former teacher, the dreaded Miss Appleberry. With Martha's encouragement he wows the kids . . . and his old teacher.

George has a chance to win the club's doubles badminton championship by teaming up with the former national champion, but he'll have to drop Martha as his partner. Will he win the trophy, but lose Martha's friendship?

After executing an excruciatingly painful belly-whopper George develops a paralyzing diving phobia. It's up to Martha to cure her best friend of his fears and help him win the big diving competition for Happy Palms.

When George tries to hog the limelight by writing, directing and starring in his own play, Martha takes center stage and brings down the house; Martha's attempt to bolster her best friend's spirits by throwing a croquet match turns into the hottest competition of all.
