Oriane, a young nurse, motherless and hitherto unhappy in love, marries on the Côte d'Azur with Amaury, a French-speaking Canadian, surgeon at Médecins Sans Frontières. Camille, who had put aside her private life to manage the hotel of her late parents with her older sister, has been living for a few months a passion with a regular client, Nathan, an ex-trader of Portuguese origin.
