In the middle of the night, Christine discovers her partner, Brad, passed out on the couch. Realizing that his addictions have made their home life untenable, she resolves to immediately move out with Sam, her 5-year-old son. Their only recourse is to move back in with Christine's parents. She then struggles to find the inner strength required to establish a new life for herself and her son.
