Kiri

Miriam is a dedicated social worker who arranges for Kiri, a young black girl, to have an unsupervised visit with her birth grandfather, Tobi, and his second wife before her white foster family officially adopts her.

While the backlash against Miriam grows, Tobi is wracked with guilt about his role in Kiri’s death and determined to find his son Nate - the prime suspect in her murder.

Alice goes on the offensive after DI Mercer tells her and Jim there’s new evidence in the case which means charging Nate will be difficult.

DI Mercer is forced to make a charge. Tobi supports his son, while Miriam takes her fate in her own hands and Alice’s devastation gets the better of her.
