Garland Jeffreys: The King of In Between

Tells the powerful story of a trailblazing singer-songwriter who defied genre and racial boundaries. A fixture of New York's music scene, Jeffreys fused rock, reggae, folk and soul into a sound uniquely his own. Featuring rare archival footage and candid interviews (Laurie Anderson, Bruce Springsteen, Vernon Reid, Harvey Keitel) the film captures his rise, his struggles, and the life in between.
