Hyun-soo took a day off work on a weekday at Johnson's invitation and went to Ikaribashi. On the train ride home, Hyun-soo recalled Johnson kissing her and sensed love approaching. However, Johnson's mother, Yeon-mi, told her she was older than her son, and her junior colleague, Hong-ah, mentioned Johnson had once tried to flirt with her. Hyun-soo burst into tears upon learning Johnson had contacted him from France. Sitting together by the riverbank, Johnson asked Hyun-soo to wait for him. But Hyun-soo's answer was not what he had imagined. Johnson made one final call from the airport, but Hyun-soo, who was having dinner with Jong-woo, didn't answer. Hyun-soo made his screenwriting debut at Jong-woo's agency, but he constantly clashed with the drama director. To take his mind off things, Jong-woo brought Hyun-soo to a restaurant where Jong-son worked as chef... Hyun-soo is told by the producer that if the next broadcast doesn't get ratings, both he and the director will be fired, but it ends up setting a new low in viewership. Hong-ah takes her script to Jung-woo's agency and aggressively pitches herself, claiming she's more confident than Hyun-soo. ©SBS

Hyun-soo, depressed after being told by an actor that he's leaving the drama, is treated to a home-cooked meal by Jong-sun. Meanwhile, Hong-ah, angry after Jong-sun turned down her invitation, heads to Hyun-soo's house... Learning of Hong-ah's frustration, Hyun-soo tells Jong-sun that it's painful to feel like he's competing with a man over her. ©SBS

Unable to bear the script not being used, Hyun-soo resolved to quit the drama. After confirming Hyun-soo's decision, Jong-woo simply said, "I understand," and drove Hyun-soo home. Hyun-soo planned a trip to Yeosu to clear her head, but upon hearing about it, Jong-seon also decided to join the trip, and Jong-woo was heading to Yeosu as well.©SBS

Seeing the two of them leaning on each other, Jong-woo leaves the scene in shock. Hyun-soo and Jong-son, having confirmed their feelings for each other, spend their days lovingly together. Watching Hyun-soo and Jung-son walk hand in hand from behind, Jong-woo feels conflicted. He calls Hyun-soo over and tells him actress Yoo Hae-jung liked the script and wants to meet him, moving Hyun-soo. Meanwhile, to Jung-son, who wants to introduce his girlfriend, he says to bring her along when he proposes this weekend.©SBS

Johnson, having prepared for Jong-woo's proposal, ascends to the terrace, excited to see who it would be. But there stood Hyun-soo, summoned without knowing anything. Jong-woo reintroduces Johnson and Hyun-soo as his favorite man and woman. Amidst complex feelings, Hyun-soo asks Jong-woo to introduce him to his long-desired Yoo Hae-jin.©SBS

Hyun-soo brings her parents to Johnson's restaurant to introduce her boyfriend, but Yeon-mi and her lover also show up and start eating. The two families end up meeting by chance, exchanging awkward greetings in the tense atmosphere. Jong-sun punches Jong-woo after being told he's trying to steal Hyun-soo. Jong-woo, beaten, drinks alone at a street stall while thinking of Hyun-soo. The next morning, Hyun-soo goes to Jong-woo's office and presses him about what he told Jong-sun. Yong-mi, visiting Jong-woo's office, happens to see Hyun-soo and begins to suspect the relationship between Jong-woo and Hyun-soo.©SBS

As the store's business deteriorated, Johnson learned that Yeonmi had borrowed money from Jongwoo. Johnson couldn't stop crying from anger. Hyunsoo, who rushed over in shock, suggested they live together, but Johnson told him not to sacrifice his life. Unable to comfort the troubled Johnson, Hyunsoo felt helpless.©SBS

Hyun-soo tries to overcome difficult family issues together, while Jung-son tries to overcome them alone. Jung-son stumbles over his words whenever Hyun-soo brings up family matters. Amidst this, Hyun-soo's mother is diagnosed with a cerebral aneurysm requiring urgent surgery. However, the doctor informs them she is on the waiting list for surgery. ©SBS

On the day of Hyun-soo's mother's surgery, Johnson, who had come to make breakfast, was beaten to the punch by Jong-woo and couldn't enter the hospital room. Hyun-soo serves Johnson's breakfast to his father, who can't even swallow food. While eating together, Jong-woo soaks in the warm atmosphere. ©SBS

At dinner with Hyun-soo's parents, Jong-woo confesses his feelings for Hyun-soo, but his blunt words leave them bewildered. Waiting outside Hyun-soo's house, Jong-soo hands Hyun-soo a ring upon her return from dinner and proposes they live together... The next day, Jong-soo's restaurant receives a call announcing it has earned a Michelin star.©SBS

Hyun-soo drives toward Johnson, who is heading to Hong Kong, but tears well up and she can no longer drive. Johnson, too, comes to Hyun-soo's house, desperate to see her just once. Their feelings, which had grown distant, reunite, and the two draw closer. Meanwhile, Hong-ah blames Hyun-soo for not understanding the feelings of Joon-woo, who was rejected.©SBS

John Woo visited Johnson and admitted defeat, telling him Hyun-soo hadn't turned around for him. Meanwhile, Hyun-soo went shopping with the depressed Yeon-mi. Hyun-soo and Hong-ah happened to ride the company elevator together. Seeing Hyun-soo not focused on work, Hong-ah snapped at him, saying he was unmotivated.©SBS

Hyun-soo gives Johnson a ring and gets his own ring back in exchange. Hyun-soo says that if a woman's thumb and a man's ring finger are the same size, they're destined for each other... Hyun-soo, who thought of love as a "choice," and Johnson, who thought of it as "destiny," invite the people who helped them to the shop and swear to spend their lives together.©SBS
