This, another neighboring residence and an old adjacent general store, now all museums, stand on sacred Native American soil. Philadelphia's Eastern State Penitentiary operated from 1829 to 1971 housing some of America's most notorious criminals, including "Slick Willie" Sutton and "Scarface" Al Capone. Since its closure maintenance staff and security have all witnessed alleged paranormal events here on a regular basis.
