Dr Keri: Prairie Vet

After Dr. Keri and her vet team face a difficult delivery, bottle feeding a new-born, orphaned calf becomes a family affair.

Dr. Bell, the only board-certified equine surgeon in Manitoba, arrives in Ashern to deliver some long awaited news about Dr. Keri's injured horse, Elvis.

Dr. Keri and her team visit the rural community of Lake Manitoba First Nations where they perform 25 spay and neuters and help a local animal rescue program find a new home for an unwanted husky.

Fires, bulls and frantic emergencies make for an all-consuming day as a diligent Dr. Keri pushes her way through the smoky prairies to treat animals in need.

Dr. Keri teams up with Lynne Scott and her shelter for abandoned cats, Craig St. Cats. While searching the streets for feral cats, they rescue newborn kittens and bottle-feed them until they are well enough to be adopted by loving homes.

Dr. Keri and her husband Calvin work hard to keep their 600 head of cattle fed and healthy and hope their great nephew, Thorian, will one day follow in their footsteps.

Cute canine Malamute puppies frolic and play while Dr. Keri gives them their first checkups. Back at the clinic in Ashern, it's an emergency when Tucker the dog meets the wrong end of a porcupine.

Dr. Keri and her crew are heading north on their annual Interlake tour. This time she is treating a large cast of canine characters including Puss - part house cat, part Tasmanian devil.

Dr. Keri's vet student, Jenna, has started the first ever Ashern TNR program where she's trapping, neutering and releasing feral cats in the community.
