Gopi is a simpleton brought up in Banaras. He meets Madhubala, a girl brought up in the western world and the two get married with the consent of her father, Chaubey. However, Madhu's mother, Lily, is unhappy about the match and begins to plot schemes in order to separate the newly-wed couple. Although she may not have to do much, as Gopi and Madhubala are incompatible in every possible way!
