Smithfield, previously Smoothfield, a suburb of London just outside the Old City Walls. The site of London's oldest church, St. Bartholomew the Great and the main place of execution in London including Heretics from 1401. The film looks at the history of Heresy, the battle for the Bible, the turbulent English Reformation of the 1500's and those whose lives ended at the stake in The Smoothfield.
