The Echizen family reminisces over an old photo album, and Ryoma learns the story of how his parents first met while his father played tennis is the USA.

After standing up to a group of obnoxious older boys on a train, 12-year-old Ryoma Echizen ends up playing tennis against a high school star. Ryoma seems confident, but does he stand a chance against his opponent's physical advantages?

It's time for another round of school rankings, and positions as regulars in Nationals are riding on the outcome! All the current Seigaku regulars are determined to keep their spots, but competition is fierce.

Echizen checks out the Seigaku tennis club and runs into some troublesome upperclassmen.

With the Kanto Tournament behind them, the Seigaku regulars go to visit Tezuka in Germany. After reuniting with their captain, they decide to see the sights of Munich together.

The ranking matches continue as Momoshiro and Kaido square off. There are three regulars in their block, and only two will keep their spots, so the longtime rivals are more determined than ever.

The Seigaku regulars find Echizen playing tennis in Munich with a random stranger. She's unexpectedly good for someone who's had a few drinks.

Inoue and Shiba receive official word that Echizen will play in the US Open, but Echizen has no clue that he's been entered. Meanwhile in school ranking tournament, Inui and Kikumaru square off for the top spot in their block.

Word about Echizen, the amazing newcomer to the Seigaku club, has spread. Meanwhile, the Seigaku regulars return to awe the first year students with their skill.

Rumors of Ryoma's invitation to the US Open spark wild speculation. Everyone is waiting for Ryoma to decide whether he'll be playing in Nationals or going to the USA. His mind seems made up, but is it really?

The cast take on new identities in two comical shorts about the everyday life of the Seishun family.

Echizen is in D Block of the school ranking tournament where he'll be competing for a regular's spot on the team. He'll be up against upperclassmen, including the serpentine Kaoru Kaido, aka, the Viper.

Ryoma's next ranking match is against Momoshiro. Momoshiro is determined to be at his best to face his friend, but Ryoma seems distracted.

The match between Echizen and Kaido continues. Kaido uses his special technique, the Snake, to keep Echizen off balance.

When Kawamura's father injures his hand and has to hire a replacement sushi chef, Kawamura is forced to choose whether to prioritize tennis or sushi.

Fuji encounters a girl who claims that they are destined to be together. Despite her charms, she seems to be hiding something from him.

Echizen isn't his usual self during his match with Momoshiro and suddenly requests to forfeit the match, leaving Momoshiro angry and confused.

Inoue and Shiba are headed to visit Ryoma's father, Nanjiro Echizen, a legendary tennis player. It proves difficult to get answers from him about his past and Ryoma.

As Ryoma's departure for the US Open approaches, his friends at Seigaku decide to each give him a going away present. How will they send him off?

The April ranking matches continue, and Echizen's slotted to play Inui, a third year regular. Inui is an even stronger opponent than Kaido. Can Echizen beat him to land a spot as a regular?

Kikumaru wins a visit from his favorite singers in a raffle. He wants to make sure everything is perfect for the big day, but he didn't count on his teammates dropping in to hang out!

Echizen and Inui's match continues, but Inui is able to predict Echizen's every move with his Data Tennis.
