With the house becoming more crowded by the minute, Dan and Roseanne argue over giving Becky and Mark their walking papers. Jackie and Fred squabble about sleeping arrangements for the new baby, and, Dan is embarrassed about having to shave his armpits!

Roseanne and Dan suffer from pregnancy jitters. Meanwhile, Roseanne accidentally uncovers Darlene's dark secret - she's having an affair.

There's a snitch in the Conner household. Upset over their recent breakup, David tattles on Darlene. And, to Roseanne's horror, she finds out that Darlene is experimenting with drugs!

When Jackie spills the news that Becky and Mark are having sexual problems, Roseanne steps in to solve their dilemma. The situation snowballs when the men realize that no subject is sacred when it comes to their gossiping wives!

And, Roseanne and Jackie travel to Darlene's apartment for an unexpected visit...to scrutinize her new boyfriend, Jimmy.

When D.J. refuses to kiss a black girl in the school play, Dan broods over the source of D.J.'s racist attitudes. To everyone's surprise, Fred develops a close friendship with his mother-in-law, Bev. Is there an alternate side to Bev's personality that her children don't know about?

Waiting for the prenatal test results leave Roseanne and Dan in a panic. Emotions run high as Roseanne mulls over her pregnancy options and consequently excludes Dan from any paternal involvement.

As a parent, he's repeatedly feeling shut out. To placate Dan, Roseanne acquiesces, asking him to tackle the problem. Meanwhile, home for Christmas, Darlene discovers that David's new girlfriend isn't the only girl he finds attractive.

Dan and Roseanne are shocked, and amused, when they find out their new next door neighbors are a couple of geriatric nudists. Meanwhile, Darlene suspects David of cheating on her with Becky.

Bev's thrown in jail for drinking and driving, and it's up to Roseanne and Jackie to bail her out. However, an apparent lack of judgment isn't Bev's only problem. In a shocking announcement, she admits that she's an alcoholic. Is this the truth or just one of Bev's clever manipulations?

Feigning illness for preferential treatment, Roseanne claims the doctor has ordered a week of bed rest. However, her grand scheme quickly turns stale when she finds herself bedridden and bored. In another situation, Jackie and Bev have a confrontation that elicits a remarkable confession - one that Roseanne can't wait to hear.

Fred's unhappy that D.J.'s spending all his spare time at Aunt Jackie's house. Asked to handle the situation, Jackie's torn between loyalties; hurting Roseanne's feelings or abiding by her new husband's wishes. Meanwhile, Darlene and Becky, reconciling their differences, find common ground - their mutual anger toward Roseanne.

Jackie is restless and complains to Fred that their sex life is predictable. Meanwhile, David receives high scores on his college entrance exams. Mark, jealous of his brother, spitefully attempts to foil David's romantic interest in Stacy, the diner's new waitress. Never one to be left out, Roseanne exploits the situation by manipulating David into painting a wall in the diner.

In Roseanne's absence, Dan gets unexpected advice from David after discovering a scandalous secret concerning Jackie.

Roseanne is up to her usual schemes. First, she cons Darlene out of a portion of her monthly allowance. Then, she plots to reunite Fred and Jackie. There's one glitch - Jackie's not sure she wants Fred back!

Roseanne and Dan secretly attempt to help Becky and Mark with money after they move into a shabby trailer. A further case for concern is the couple's boozy trailer-park neighbor, Sharon.

Dan disapproves of D.J.'s first date, a domineering young girl he's escorting to the school dance. However, Roseanne's fond of the girl's spunky attitude...until she manipulates D.J. into a troubling situation. More upsetting is Jackie's suggestion that D.J.'s attempting to mimic his parents' relationship. In the meantime, Fred and Jackie try to work through their marital problems by visiting a therapist.

Roseanne is upset over the possibility that David may like a girl more than Darlene, who may lose David if she doesn't fight for him.
