Thomas & Friends

Thomas becomes transfixed on finding the end of the rainbow after Edward tells him something magical will be there. He chases the rainbow across the island and is so distracted that he hits a telegraph pole and comes off the tracks! Luckily Percy puffs off to find help and Thomas finds that there was something magical at the end after all - his friends!

Gordon decides that the other engines need to show him some respect. When Emily refuses to give him a "toot toot", Gordon is so cross that he misses a stop signal and ploughs into a goods train of sticky jam! With Gordon at the fitters yard, the other engines have to do Gordon's work. They find this is a lot harder than they thought and realise that they miss Gordon after all!

Molly is a new engine on the island. She feels useless when she is given the job of taking empty trucks back to the coaling plant. She wants to takes full trucks like a Really Useful Engine. But there are engines waiting to start work - with no trucks! Thomas must find Molly urgently! Molly and the other engines learn that sometimes empty trucks can be important too.

A new engine arrives on the island - an engine with two boilers! Mr. Percival assigns Mighty Mac the special job of taking holidaymakers up to a mountain campground. Mighty and Mac squabble about which way to go, until they become confused and accidentally crash into the rocks, causing a rockslide. Blocked in, they discover the way out by working together.

It's the day of the Sodor Summer Party, Thomas is sent to collect milk and butter. On his return, Thomas goes too fast and turns the milk half-way to butter. Thomas puffs back to the dairy to collect more milk, this time very slowly. By now, Thomas is late for his second job, but has an idea... by puffing fast with the half-churned butter, he makes enough butter for all the cakes!

A famous artist comes to the island to paint a picture called "The Spirit of Sodor". The Fat Controller gives Percy the job of showing the Artist something special enough to paint.

Thomas is taking The Fat Controller and his mother for a special birthday picnic, but they find Shen Valley ploughed into mud and the Scottish castle closed. They have no choice but to cancel the picnic... until Thomas summons them to Knapford Station where he has arranged a big party! The Fat Controller declares it Thomas' best idea yet!

The Sodor Museum is opening and The Fat Controller announces that all the engines at Tidmouth Sheds are to have a special repaint. Toby wonders why he is not being repainted and concludes that he is to be put inside the museum. Toby tries to prove how useful he is by doing all the other engines' work. But runs away from The Fat Controller every time he approaches, scared of what he might say!

Thomas is given a special job along the cliffs to the seaside but becomes terrified after Diesel tells him the cliffs are cursed! Thomas bravely puffs towards the cliffs, soon realising that Diesel was not telling the truth - the cliff track is beautiful! Thomas resolves to always believe in himself.

Rusty is so excited to give the brass band a tour of the hills that she loses track of time! Half-way across a lake, she runs out of diesel-oil. The band worry about missing the concert. Rusty tells the band to play loudly while she toots her horn! The Fat Controller, Mr Percival and the other engines hear the music and puff up the track to hear the band play!

It's Halloween and Thomas must work with Devious Diesel to get the island's flour! Diesel terrifies Thomas by pointing out all the scary things along the way. Thomas decides to teach Diesel a lesson and covers himself in flour convincing Diesel that he is a ghost engine!

Mr Percival needs two engines to transport some important dinosaur bones. Scared that Skarloey is too clumsy, Rheneas decides to take the bones alone. He is soon in trouble and can't move! Luckily, Skarloey passes by. Rheneas apologises to Skarloey and the two friends take the flatbed together... just in time to be photographed with the huge dinosaur!

There is a banquet at the Scottish castle and Henry must collect a new flagpole but, on his return, the flag pole rolls off his flatbed and breaks! Worried that The Fat Controller will use his favourite tall pine tree, he sets off to find a replacement! In the nick of time Henry finds an old ship's mast - the ideal replacement flagpole. The banquet is a big success and Henry is very happy!

Thomas is collecting some iron for a broken bridge when he sees Neville, the new engine, being teased by 'Arry and Bert. Thomas mistakes what he sees and tells James that Neville is friends with the diesels! The story snowballs out of control and Thomas realises that he was wrong. Thomas is sorry that he told silly stories. He and Neville become firm friends!

Emily is taking passengers to the ruined castle when she decides that she will be Queen for a day! Toby doesn't think she could be a Queen, so she decides to prove it. Emily tells Percy to take his troublesome trucks along a fast track to stop them complaining. Percy does as Emily says but ends up crashing, coming off the tracks. Emily realises that being a Queen is harder than she thought!

James and Thomas are delighted to be getting shiny new trucks. Thomas is determined to keep his shinier than James'. Eager not to get dirty, Thomas swaps his new trucks for his old ones, but his old trucks are rusty and crack, spilling coal everywhere and making The Fat Controller cross! Thomas must now collect the coal in his new trucks, making them filthy but much less troublesome!

Rusty tells the other narrow gauge engines the story of "Proteus" and his magic lamp, explaining that whoever finds the lamp will have their dreams come true! Peter Sam is so distracted by the magic lamp that he gets completely lost. He wishes to be at home. When Harold appears to show Peter Sam the way home, he realises that believing in the lamp was all he had to do!

A new toy shop is opening and Thomas is delighted when The Fat Controller asks him to take the children to the grand opening. Thomas volunteers to help Henry who is stuck on a blocked line with the toys for the shop. He collects the train, but gets stuck on Gordon's Hill. Eventually, Henry's line is cleared and together the two engines make it just in time for the grand opening!

Worried that he will be scrapped, Edward lets Thomas do his jobs when he starts wheezing and leaking steam. The Fat Controller sees what is happening and wants to know why Thomas is doing Edwards jobs. Edward feels terrible and explains everything. He promises to always tell The Fat Controller about any problems in the future.

Thomas is excited to go to the carnival but first must take some chickens to the docks. After going extra fast to get the job done, Thomas remembers he must give the chickens a safe ride and slows down. At the docks he hears that the carnival generator has broken down, so quickly delivers a new one. The Fat Controller congratulates him on being a very reliable engine!

Duncan doesn't think pulling coal trucks is very exciting, but spots the opportunity for adventure. Soon he is stuck in a disused mine with trucks full of coal! With Rusty's help, Duncan takes the coal to the Transfer Yard and promises to always think his adventures through in the future.

Dennis is a very lazy new engine on Sodor - he tries to get Thomas to do his jobs by pretending to break down! When Thomas goes for help, Dennis races off but this time he really does break down. Dennis admits he hasn't told the truth and resolves to be a Really Useful Engine from now on!

Its winter and the first engine to finish their jobs will get to pull the presents train. Desperate to get the job, James tries to go fast, loses control and comes off the tracks!

A special statue celebrating the Sodor railway is to be delivered. Thomas becomes convinced that the statue is of him and boasts to the other engines. He boasts so much that the other engines stop talking to him. At the grand unveiling, all the engines finally see the statue. It's not just of Thomas, it's of ALL the engines! Thomas apologises and they all agree it is the best statue ever!
