A new order has been given to Kyojuro Rengoku the Flame Hashira. The mission is to investigate the "Mugen Train" that has eaten more than forty people. After leaving Demon Slayer Corps headquarters, he sets off on his mission to the Mugen Train, but…

In order to investigate the Mugen Train, where more than forty people have gone missing, Kyojuro Rengoku who goes to the site encounters a demon along the way. After rescuing the people, he finally aboard the Mugen Train. And what awaits him there?

Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke meet up with Rengoku on the Mugen Train. They are more cautious when a demon appears on the train. But before they know it, they fall into a deep slumber. In the dream, Tanjiro is reunited with his family. However, it turns out to be a nightmare.

Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Rengoku have fallen asleep due to Enmu's Blood Demon Technique. Enmu uses his collaborators to destroy Tanjiro and his friends' spiritual cores. When Tanjiro realises that it's a dream, he searches for a way to wake up. And he cut his own neck in order to wake up.

After Tanjiro cuts his own neck inside his dream in order to wake up, he confronts Enmu, the main culprit. Tanjiro is furious with Enmu because he indulges in the pleasure of trampling on people's hearts. After a fierce battle, Tanjiro decapitates Enmu's head, but he's still alive. Enmu has fused with the Mugen Train. Tanjiro feels cornered, and Inosuke finally awakened, comes to help!

Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Rengoku fight to protect the passengers from Enmu's hands. Meanwhile, Tanjiro and Inosuke find Enmu's head who had fused with the train. They work together to overcome Enmu's Blood Demon Techniques and finally cut his head. After Tanjiro cut the head, the train derails. What will happen to the 200 passengers, Tanjiro, and his friends?

After Tanjiro and his friends defeat Enmu, there's another demon that appears in front of them, he is Upper Rank Three, Akaza. When Akaza wants to kill Tanjiro, but he is interrupted by Rengoku in an instant. During the fierce battle, Akaza asks Rengoku if he would like to become a demon. Rengoku refuses, but his body is getting more and more wounds, and exhausted, then he is nearing his limit...

After Tanjiro and his friends defeat Enmu, there's another demon that appears in front of them, he is Upper Rank Three, Akaza. When Akaza wants to kill Tanjiro, but he is interrupted by Rengoku in an instant. During the fierce battle, Akaza asks Rengoku if he would like to become a demon. Rengoku refuses, but his body is getting more and more wounds, and exhausted, then he is nearing his limit.

Tanjiro visited the Rengoku family's house and told Senjuro about his brother's final words. Months later, when Tanjiro returned to the Butterfly Mansion, he found the Sound Hashira, Uzui Tengen, was about to force Aoi and Naho on a mission.

Tanjiro and his friends are infiltrating the brothels where Uzui's wives gather intel. While working as apprentices at the brothels, they search for Hinatsuru, Suma, and Makio. And finally, Inosuke heard about Makio that she locked herself in her room.

When Inosuke enters Makio's room, it was empty; he senses the demon's presence and gives a chase, but he misses it. At the same time, Zenitsu who has infiltrated the Kyogoku Brothel convinced that the Oiran he meets is a demon. She is Daki, an Upper Rank Six, a demon who hides in Entertainment District as Warabihime Oiran.

When Zenitsu disappears, Tanjiro and Inosuke are told by Uzui to leave the district, but they are determined to rescue him and other people. Later at night, Tanjiro smells the scent of a demon and follows it and find Koinatsu Oiran about to be trapped by Daki's obi. Tanjiro must fight Upper Rank Six without Uzui, Zenitsu, and Inosuke.

A fierce battle with Daki continues. Tanjiro fights back with "Hinokami Kagura" which has repercussions to his body. At the same time, Inosuke arrives at the obi demon's lair and tries to rescue the people there. Makio, Suma, and Zenitsu join forces, and then, the ceiling of the lair suddenly breached and Uzui appears, wielding his blades.

Tanjiro was furious with Daki who despised human life. He pushes Daki harder than ever before, but his body is already over the limit. He falls down and now is in trouble again, but then Nezuko comes to help. During the fierce battle, she changes her appearance and becomes more like a true demon.

Tanjiro's lullaby put Nezuko asleep. Meanwhile, after Uzui cut Daki's head off, there's a new demon emerging from her body. It's Gyutaro, Daki's older brother, the other Upper Rank Six. Thus, Uzui confronts two demons, Daki and Gyutaro.

Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke joined Uzui in the battle. Zenitsu and Inoske take on Daki, while Tanjiro and Uzui take on Gyutaro. But they are struggling against the onslaught of well-coordinated attacks from Daki and Gyutaro. However, with help from Hinatsuru and Uzui, Tanjiro's sword closes in Gyutaro's head.

Tanjiro and Uzui are separated because of Gyutaro's Demon Blood Art. Tanjiro joins Zenitsu and Inosuke, who are struggling, and the three of them finally succeed in beheading Daki. However, when Inosuke tries to take away Daki's head, Gyutaro's sickle pierces his heart. Uzui is knocked out, Tanjiro and his friends are in grave peril.

Uzui reads Gyutaro's Demon Blood Art as a musical score and parried all of his attacks, Tanjiro severs Gyutaro head while being stabbed in the jaw. At the same time, Zenitsu and Inosuke also managed to sever Daki's head despite their deep wounds. At the end of the battle, when they think they've already defeated the Upper Rank Six, Gyutaro's Demon Blood Art is unleashed.
