When I Was The Most Beautiful

Oh Ye Ji starts her first day at the Seo Hwan's school and meets Hwan for the first time. She notices his talent in art, and Hwan notices her beautiful eyes. Seo Jin, Hwan's older brother, surprises everyone at the race track when he takes off his race car helmet, but he isn't so thrilled to see Carrie Jung, his ex-girlfriend, appear. Ye Ji gets a text message from her ex-boyfriend to meet.

Ye Ji gets a room next door to Hwan's place, and Hwan delightfully helps her get settled in. Overhearing that she'll be heading to Seoul for the weekend, Jin waits for her and offers her a ride. When they get there, Jin meets her wretched aunt, who has nothing but disapproving remarks of her teaching and living in the countryside. Meanwhile, Chairman Bang tells Jin to marry Carrie.

Hwan waits for Ye Ji by the creek while she enjoys the moonlight by the beach with Jin. When a few of the boys show up and ridicule him with a revealing picture of Ye Ji, Hwan severely beats up one of the boys. Later, Ye Ji decides to learn ceramics at Geonam Ceramics, and Hwan sees Jin kissing Ye Ji.

Jin shows up in front of Ye Ji's aunt with an envelope of money and tells her to stay out of their relationship. Yeon Ja goes to Seong Gon and describes her encounter with Ye Ji's aunt and warns him to keep Ye Ji away from the boys. Meanwhile, Jin's racing teammates ditch him and start a race team of their own.

Hwan goes to university in the States while Jin tries to work at his mother's company. However, Jin only has racing on his mind. With a project not progressing in the right direction, he hands in his resignation. Meanwhile, Ye Ji visits her aunt's place for her father's memorial service and hears an earful. and Ye Ji tells Jin to do what he loves, and Jin follows his heart.

Three years go by after Jin's death. Seong Gon throws an art exhibition, displaying Ye Ji's first ceramics collection. However, Yeon Ja finds out about it and causes a scene. Reminded of her horrible past, Ye Ji collapses and gets rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, Ye Ji's mother gets released from prison and visits Ye Ji's aunt. and Ye Ji finds out where her mother is with Seung Min's help.

Hwan finds Ye Ji on Jeju Island. Seeing each other for the first time after three years, they embrace and comfort each other. They decide to unwind from their crazy life together. However, Hwan takes it a little too far and tries to kiss Ye ji. Meanwhile, back in Seoul, Ye Ji's mom learns about Ye Ji's hardships and visit's Ye Ji's aunt holding a bat.

Hwan insists that Ye Ji move out of the house and forget that Jin ever existed. However, he reveals his true feelings and why he had to come back home. Meanwhile, Ye Ji's aunt deposits some money into Ye Ji's mom's bank account and warns her to stay away from her late brother's fortune. and Ye Ji gets invited out to a school gathering by her students.

Ye Ji drops to her knees in tears after seeing Jin in his wheelchair but is relieved he is alive. However, convincing him to return home needed help. Jin shows up and reminds him of the pain their father went through and how he had kept him going after seeing him almost take his life. Meanwhile, Carrie finds out that Jin had returned to Korea and visits Yeon Ja.

Jin asks Hwan if he still has feelings for Ye Ji. Hwan stands his ground and tells Jin not to worry about anything. Out of the blue, Amber courageously shows up and surprises Hwan. Meanwhile, Jin tells Ye Ji to work with Hwan, and Yeon Ja finds out Jin might have a chance to walk again. and Jealousy and suspicion overcome Jin, causing him to search through Ye Ji's room.

Despite Jin's harsh words of divorce, Ye Ji convinces Jin to undergo physiotherapy again after hearing from Yeon Ja that he still might have a chance to walk. Ye Ji also tells him to move back and have Hwan leave the house instead. However, Hwan warns Jin that if he hurts Ye Ji, his imagination will become a reality. Later, Hwan decides to open his heart to Amber, and they begin a relationship.

Carrie spills the truth about her and Jin in the U.S. on the table. She destroys what good was finally happening after Jin's return from hiding. Ye Ji packs her things and heads to see her mother and then to her aunt. Meanwhile, Yeon Ja visits Carrie but faces a predicament with a few threatening words.

Ye Ji accepts what she thinks is an invitation and shows up at Carrie Jung's door. Hwan finds out about this and rushes over to Carrie's house along with Jin. Meanwhile, Ki Seok runs away after seeing Jin alive, and Amber gets fed up with Hwan's insincere feelings for her. and Jin calls Carrie over, thinking that it will the last time he sees her.

Carrie survives after getting stabbed by Ki Seok. However, the truth Ki Seok reveals shocks everyone and puts Carrie facing serious jail time. Chairman Bang assures Carrie that Ki Seok's testimony means nothing without evidence, but she remains troubled. Meanwhile, Jin shows up at her hospital bedside.

Jin tries his best to hold onto Ye Ji while Yeon Ja gives Ye Ji two options. Divorce Jin and let the brothers reconcile or stay with Jin and send Hwan away. However, Hwan already makes up his mind to leave. Meanwhile, Carries disappears from the hospital, and Jin calculates how many shares the company needs to keep it from falling into Chairman Bang's hands.

Ye Ji packs up her things and says her final goodbyes while Ye Ji's mom sits and talks with Yeon Ja. She learns that Ye Ji and Hwan had feelings for each other but takes it as an insult. Later, Ye Ji begs her mother to live together, and Jin makes it up to the rooftop of Jinhwan A and C. and Hwan wants to see Ye Ji for one last time before he heads off abroad.
