Ashley Támar Davis
Actor
Ashley Támar, known as the muse & protege of Prince, gained notoriety for co-writing their Grammy-nominated duet "Beautiful, Loved, and Blessed." A Hollywood Music in Media Award Recipient (HMMA) for Best New Song in New Media (2022), Ms. Davis is currently on tour with the Stewart Copeland Orchestra and a featured soloist on the "Police Deranged for Orchestra" album. Adding to her jaw-dropping career, Ashley's versatility translates to behind-the-scenes as well as a Music Supervisor, Clearance, and Licensing Coordinator for various television/film projects: "Ladies First: The Women in Hip Hop" (Netflix)," "Trap Jazz" (Hulu), "Three Ways" (Hulu), "Cherish the Day," (Season II/OWN), "That Damn Michael Che," (HBO Max) and more. Ashley has graced the Walt Disney Hall stage with the LA Philharmonic, guest starred in both "Chippendales" (HULU) and "BRUH" (BET+), receiving raved reviews in Broadway classics: "Ain't Misbehavin," "Motown the Musical," and "A Night with Janis Joplin" where she was nominated as Best Featured Actress. Ms. Davis is an alum of University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music and the author of an edutainment book and workbook: "100 Things to Know as an Independent Music Artist." With four independent albums released independently, Ashley displayed jaw-dropping performances on NBC's "The Voice: Season X" and is internationally recognized for her tear-jerking ballads and acting in numerous Tyler Perry/LionsGate productions. Though music is a conduit for reaching people through song, Ashley Támar has successfully initiated various community outreach projects: The Syren Arts Academy, the College, Career, and Empowerment Summit, the Támar Talks Podcast and DocFest. Ashley has performed an 11-city national tour "Támar featuring Prince" as well as on Good Morning America, Saturday Night Live, the NAACP Image Awards, the BRIT Awards and has been featured in numerous magazines such as Glamour, Billboard, People, and Vibe.
