Girish Makwana, a survivor of Polio, hailing from Gujarat, India. Despite facing physical challenges from an early age, he never allowed adversity to dampen his spirit. Guided by an unyielding vision and a love for music, Girish pursued music performance studies in both India and Australia. His passion led him to embrace the beauty of Indian and Western classical music, creating a harmonious blend that touched the hearts of audiences far and wide. With a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in music performance (Tabla & Vocal) from MS University of Baroda, India, Girish became an esteemed member of the Australian Indian community. Through his tireless efforts, he worked to promote Indian musical culture and instruments, sharing their richness with a broader audience. In 2010, Girish ventured into the world of filmmaking, enrolling in a Screen and Media course at RMIT University in Melbourne. There, he unleashed his creative talents as a scriptwriter, producer, director, composer, and musician. His cinematic masterpiece, "The Colour of Darkness," showcased his brilliance and left audiences captivated by its beauty and storytelling. Girish Makwana's journey is a testament to the power of determination and a positive attitude. He reminds us that challenges can be transformed into stepping stones towards greatness.
