Ignacio Mateos
Actor
Ignacio Mateos is a Spanish actor born in Malaga in 1979. His training began at the school of La Barraca de Alicia Hermida in Madrid, followed by the School of Juan Carlos Corazza and Mar Navarro. He moved to Paris to work with the troupe of Arianne Mnouchkine, with whom he collaborated in the production of 'Le Dernier Caravansereil' from2003-2004. He continued his training in Paris at L 'Ecole de Philippe Gaulier. On his return to Spain he worked for the CAT (Centro Andaluz de Teatro) with the play 'La Decadencia en Varsovia' by Antonio Rojano and directed by María Ruiz. He started creating his own projects, adapting Thomas Berhart's 'El Presidente', which premiered at LaCasa de la Portera in Madrid, and creating other productions such as 'En Familia' by his own production company at the Pension de las fleas. He combined theater with film and television, highlighting: 'La Banda Picasso' by Fernando Colomo (playing the painter whose original version is in French), 'Lejos del Mar' by Imanol Uribe, 'Animals without a collar' by Jota Linares, 'Malaka', 'La Templanza' and 'El Case.' He also produced, alongside a large cast, 'Danzad malditos', which won the Breakthrough Show Max. He is currently on tour with 'Jauría' directed by Miguel del Arco, winner of the last Max for Best Editing of 2019. It is worth noting his nomination to the best supporting actor at the 2018 Feroz Awards for 'Animals without a collar'. In 2020 ,he received the Silver Biznaga at the Malaga film festival for his professional career.
