Pete began his professional life as a horseman, working extensively in equestrian disciplines before transitioning into the stunt world. His early training instilled in him a deep understanding of animal behaviour, precision movement and physical discipline, skills that would later define his reputation as one of the industry's foremost equestrian stunt specialists. His expertise in horse-related action, combined with his talent for actor coaching, made him a sought-after figure on productions requiring complex mounted sequences and detailed horsemanship. Over the course of his career, Pete has built an extensive and diverse portfolio across nearly every major area of stunt performance and coordination. His work includes fight and action design, large-scale battle choreography, wire work, high-risk fire and explosion sequences, and an extensive range of vehicle stunts involving cars, motorcycles, HGVs and watercraft. His ability to interpret a director's vision, anticipate physical challenges and deliver safe yet visually striking action has made him a trusted collaborator on numerous high-profile productions. As a performer, Pete has doubled Russell Crowe in Gladiator (2000), Richard Gere in First Knight (1995), and Kevin Costner in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991), contributing to some of the most iconic action sequences of their time. He has also appeared in major features such as Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Quantum of Solace (2008), The Batman (2022) and Saving Private Ryan (1998), demonstrating versatility across genres, stunt disciplines and cinematic styles. As a Stunt Coordinator, Pete is widely known for his work on large-scale, action-driven productions, bringing both creative vision and meticulous safety oversight to every project. His coordinating credits include Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023), Fast X (2023), Morbius (2022), the critically acclaimed series Penny Dreadful (2014) and AMC's action-heavy Into the Badlands (2015). He is recognized for his ability to build complex action sequences that balance narrative storytelling with innovative stunt execution. Pete achievements have earned him significant industry recognition. He is a multiple recipient of the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble, awarded for his contributions to Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), Skyfall (2012), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). He has also been nominated three times for Taurus World Stunt Awards, including for Best Specialty Stunt for his work on The Last Samurai (2003).
