Richard Stringham

Richard Stringham was born in Arkansas and raised on a bad diet of R-rated films during the heyday of the video store craze. In 2016 he gave up his career as an HVAC contractor to write, produce and direct his feature debut, "Close Calls," which garnered awards at the New York City Horror Film Festival and developed a cult following after a mention on Blumhouse's Shock Waves Podcast. Following a behind-the-scenes documentary on "Close Calls," Stringham helped produce a number of indie films in the horror/thriller genre, including shorts, documentaries, and features. Shifting his focus toward screenwriting, Richard went on to write several award-winning scripts, earning accolades in top-tier writing competitions such as ScreenCraft, Austin Film Festival, StoryPros, and the PAGE Awards.
