Sophie Charlene Akland Monk, known by Sophie Monk, is an Australian actress, singer, model, and television personality. She initially rose to prominence as a member of the pop girl group Bardot, which won the inaugural season of the reality series Popstars Australia in 2000. Bardot's debut album achieved multi-platinum status, marking a significant impact on the Australian pop music scene. Following the group's disbandment in 2002, Monk pursued a solo music career, releasing her debut album Calendar Girl in 2003. Transitioning to acting, she appeared in films such as Date Movie (2006), Click (2006), and Spring Breakdown (2009), expanding her presence in Hollywood comedies. Monk has also been a notable figure in Australian television, winning The Celebrity Apprentice Australia in 2015, serving as a judge on Australia's Got Talent, and hosting popular reality shows including The Bachelorette Australia and Love Island Australia. Sophie Monk's early life began in London, England, where she was born to an English father and an Australian mother. Her family relocated to Queensland's Gold Coast when she was two years old.
