Veronica Jean Trickett is a British actress and filmmaker, celebrated for her versatility and compelling performances across film and television. Born in East London and raised in The Midlands, England, Veronica's creative inclinations were evident from an early age, engaging in poetry, storytelling, drama, painting, and photography. Her academic journey led her to the University of Sussex in Brighton, where she studied Artificial Intelligence. This unconventional path introduced her to video editing, digital marketing, and multimedia production, paving the way for her entry into the film industry, where she began working professionally both behind and in front of the camera. Veronica's feature film debut came with Hard Tide (2015), a crime drama that premiered at the Raindance Film Festival and later secured a limited UK cinema release. The film also screened at the Berlinale and Cannes in 2015, marking a significant milestone in her burgeoning career. On television, Veronica portrayed Tess Albright in the BBC's Doctors and Lucy Phelps in BBC Learning: Father & Son, showcasing her adaptability across different genres. In 2022, she took on the lead role of Carrie Dawson in Warren Dudley's crime drama, Six Years Gone. Dudley was immediately impressed by Veronica's audition, stating, "I pretty much made the decision that Veronica would play Carrie from seeing a minute of that first tape!" Beyond acting, Veronica has directed independent short films and served as an assistant director on several independent feature films, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to the craft. Her training includes courses at ACT Brighton (2012) and MN Academy (2013). She later trained at The Actors Temple, where she was profoundly influenced by Gary Condes. Her work at the Temple deepened her understanding of the Meisner Technique, which she continues to apply to her performances, striving to "live truthfully under the imaginary circumstances."
